Respect Wildlife
Observation & Appreciation: The Common Goods of the Animals Come First

Keep a good distance with wildlife. Stay calm, keep quiet and avoid stressing them.

During observation, use telescope/ camera with telephoto lens, or conceal oneself in well-shielded places.

When animal(s) shows signs of alarm or resistance, move away from them immediately.

Do not apply strong light or strong flash when taking pictures of wild animals.

Observe in small groups. Big group distress and disturbs the wildlife.

Observe and appreciate wildlife in-situ. Avoid touching or disturbing them.
Avoid visiting wildlife in sensitive times and locations

Avoid visiting wildlife during the season of mating, nesting or rearing; stay away from their habitats and nestling grounds, e.g. do not approach bird nests.

Avoid wildlife habitats and breeding grounds by noticing their traces such as droppings, footprints and nests. Minimize our disturbance to the animals.

Refine one’s diving skills such as swimming and buoyancy control; keep a safe distance from corals and other marine life. In case of currents encounter, support oneself with rocks instead of corals.

Make sure the gear is well-secured; dangling objects during diving may damage corals and other marine life.
Interactions with wildlife

Do not chase or seize any wild animal.

Do not feed any wild animal prevent altering their behavior, or exposing them to predators or other dangers.

Keep food away from the animals. For example, hang up the food or store it in secured containers.

Keep the place clean. Handle the leftover and trash properly.

Keep pets at home or tamed at all times. Prevent conflict between domestic and wild animals.
Exotic species

Exotic species pose potential threats to local ecosystems. Do not take wildlife away from their origin as it enhances the possibility of being abandoned in foreign places. Do not release exotic species into the wild.
